Don't think that's a fair statement, there is significant
loading from Marine Parade to Little India MRT during AM Peak and
the opposite during PM Peak, The demand is also mid to high
for those xfering to and from Tanah Merah MRT daily during Peak
Hours.
Don't think 48 will be considered for DDs not only because of
the high trees but also the climb to Benjamin Sheares Bridge?

You echoed exactly my observation on sv 48 loading. Regarding
use of DDs, the point of trees is valid, DDs can climb bridge with
no problem.
