The problem as i see it is that the replies here and elsewhere on
this board appear to point overwhelmingly to a myth. This is a
widespread myth, that has even found its way into the laws of most
modern countries.
That has been something that has always bothered me, and when i see
that myth perpetuated yet again, i get pissed.
The danger is that the lie, repeated often enough, becomes
plausible. In fact, i'm not sure that has not happened
already.
