If he is older, buy him a wallet or bangle/necklace.
If u don't have the budget, then burn a CD of love songs.
These items will remind him of u when he wears/carries them.

hi, greetings to all.

wells, what you can actually get for the person you love may not necessary be something of money value. it could be something you did from your heart. i'm sure he'll be touched by all your simple gestures. perhaps you could make him a booklet, which contains pictures of the 2 of you, movie stubs of all the movies you 2 watched, sweet messages, poems, etc.

this is just a simple idea, as i've did this to my ex-boyfriend during last year's valentine, and he simply loved the gift to bits. really. you should give it a try.
but of cause, provided you have got all the time to do that. (:

As a guy.. i dun expect a present from my gf though i anticipate she'll get one anyway.. juz a nice warm long hug will do.. i guess guys r generally easily contented..

if getting a gift is compulsory.. get sth useful.. i supp most girls will appreciate perishables such as roses and sentimental stuff like made-it-urself origami stars.. but guys prefer sth more practical n can be used.. esp when it's use in front of the gf when on a date etc.. to show tt they appreciate it..
