haiz... wat to do? all the best, Henry! we'll always remember u as one of a great contributer to Arsenal.

Frogleg888 SG

Arsenal may ended outside Top 4 next season. Sad

mundanE SG

Tottenham may fancy European football next next season Razz

felirox SG

But last season..almost half of the season, arsenal played w/o henry wad...so u cant just assume that if henry goes, arsenal will flop! We still have the likes of Hleb, fabregas, walcott rvp and more!

Henry’s departure may affect team morale. It could also be the foreshadowing of Wenger’s own exit.

stellazio SG

Yep, how demoralizing it will be for all the young guns who used to looked up to their talisman.

Another season of transition. Better pray for Van Persie to stay fit, and Adebayor to improve on his finishing.

Cullen[10] SG

very true. very good point.

thongs SG

tat is highly possible or they might even worst than tat

Båseline SG

Contrary to many beliefs, the young gunners will likely step up to the challenge even greater now after the departure of Henry.

Many said that Arsenal will go flat w/o Patrick Viera in the middle of the park when he joined Inter but Fabregas stepped up and look how much his price tage has risen. Fabregas could walk into any top teams.

Now that Henry has left... it is up to van Persie or Adebayor to step up to lead the attack.

Essentially, the current Arsenal squad is still very young but the talents are there.. the youthful exuberence are there and they will still pose threats against the big teams. What they seemed lacking is tactical discipline.

Arsenal have confirmed they have reached an agreement with Barcelona for the transfer of Thierry Henry, subject to a medical and the completion of formalities.
The Spanish clubs vice-president Ferran Soriano claimed on Friday night that talks with the France striker over a move to the Nou Camp were at an advanced stage.

And a statement on the Gunners official website, www.arsenal.com, on Saturday morning read: Arsenal Football Club can confirm that it has reached an agreement with Barcelona for the transfer of Thierry Henry.

The deal is subject to a medical and the completion of formalities.

i just a matter of times that all the old guard will left. freddie lunjberg will be next i guess.
i am just sad in the past 2 season players like vieira, pires, campbell, lauren, cole,
bergkamp has left.
who will be coming in??

[/b]

the next to move should be gallas or fabregas...

BrUtUs SG

problem is adebayor will not be arnd for some part of the season due to ANC...

Well,we still have Theo. Isnt he as quick as Henry? If AW can train him like wad he did to thierry, theo can be as good as him. AW also said last season theo suffered shoulder injury and he only gave 50% of his best. we havent seen yet the other 50%! Henry’s exit may make other players in arsenal shine

BrUtUs SG

theo got pace but he still lack the finishing n setting goals for himself at high level... hope he improve...

felirox SG

But thierry once said he wants to retire as an arsenal player..but sigh..things change.his exit really pinned all of arsenal fans feelings.

i think henry overstep his authority in arsenal management board.

imagine, can arsenal board of directors let a players dictate who should control and run the club. that prob, the board let him go. however i think arsenal let him go too cheaply at 16milion pound. i think he worth at least 25million pound.
sheva worth 30million pound at 29.
zidane worth 30million poound + at 29.
ribery worth 17million pound at 25+ not even proven at top class league.

i feel maybe its time for wenger to move on as well. i hope the season after next, arsenal can get hiddink, capello or scolari to manage arsenal.

sometimes playing beautiful dont win all the time. we need to be practical.
winning is more impt than playing beautiful soccer.

ghimpheng SG

Csec to follow henry to barcelona

then wenger to barcelona

then wenger will become the biggest sinner in football which is unlikely to happen

Arsenal without henry will finish out of top 4 i can see Newcastle / Tottenham taking over them

dragg SG

without henry i think arsenal will not win a CL spot.

countdracula SG

off field issues do matter…..arse is dead and buried i would think….the crop they are left may be fanciful but very inexperienced….you also need a manager who can man-managed apart from picking the right tactics…

Paradise Lost SG

Since the Dennis Bergkamp, Marc Overmars and Tony Adams era, it was Arsene Wenger that molded the crust of the team and fashioned his way of tactics and football.

Without Henry during those years, Arsenal were already winning cups and my believe is that Arsenal will continue to have the same ability challenge for the title with or without Henry.

All these is provided, as long as Arsene Wenger does not leave, that is..

innosaint SG

Arsenal is sure gonna be Anal-ed this coming CL.......

felirox SG

How can you and everyone say that?! Just becos Henry leaves..arsenal's gonna flunk? tsk
