fymk SG He is your superior . According to Singapore's standards , superior must always take junior's credit away. Junior always must kai superior's mah pi by doing his dirty job. Atm you can't do anything . He is your superior - u can jump to his superior and complain but it won't be good for you either. Eitherway you are stuck. You have to keep your mouth shut about your resentment and wait for a chance to show him up (which prolly will take long) OR look for another job that expands your potential. Or do it like me - I go overseas to work and expand my own potential. I don't think it can be blamed solely on his divorce. I work with a few divorcees , depends on how their personality in work. So far ok.
gerrykoh SG I guess a single or divorced boss is more demanding cos they are very hardworking & result oriented. Also they lack family life so they are forever in the office. U need to have lots of patience in dealing with unreasonable bosses. Some don't trust & will also check on u. So learn to keep him informed of every minute details. It is alright if he 'steals' yr ideas. Most bosses do that. Just record yr achievements in your yr-end appraisals & remind him of yr contributions. Learn to work with him instead of against him. If he gets promoted, I'm sure he knows who to thank. But if he is the type of boss who don't reward his workers, then better to look elsewhere.
Devil1976 SG Counsel him? If you are SUCCESSFUL then would be GOOD for you... If you DON'T, then GOOD LUCK...??
'm back SG all not true...now he is stuck with me....without me he fail i challenged him to sack me he scared. in my appraisal i wrote stuffs that i intend to do which he is doing...he sacred now even stay longer every day amost 24 hr to wait for phone calls i am single and time i have more than him. he is not my superior by the way he just need me to do all his sh it job for him and i know he will not talk good about me no matter what i did for him. sometimes i just wonder why bosses are so blind. i can do what he do at a lower salary but the big fa t salary he is drawing and still making losses for the company...i tell you he is the one who should be afraid man......i am looking forward to the days ahead. tell you what during the interview he has already got a tik off from me when i raised my voice at him...but our big lady boss eventually hired me coz she knows i can do the sh it job better than him..... he is getting old i can see ...that i have the upper hand anyway i will still take some of your advices here....look for better job opportunities elsewhere..and when i leave the company, i will tell ppl that this company and their bosses do not appreciate good ppl to work with
