It's 2 DIFFERENT WORLDs... Virtual Time & Real Time.... Just like when you're playing a computer game..... Perhaps the difference here is that the forum is focusing more on interaction and information exchange rather mainly entertainment alone? Of course, it would also depends on a person's intention of going online?

Off-line in relevance to online? Moving on to another world and carrying on with life... I guess the emphasis is more on a physical body? Like... If you 'die' in a cyberworld, you'll probably be still alive in the Real Time... Not the other way round though... Well.. At least not in a normal sense....
