i disagree.when we sae we arent racists, im pretty sure we all mean not to the extent that we insult them or pick on them, find trouble with them, make racist jokes, etc.
we mean that we are somehow fine with their existence..but somehow maybe not really comfortable sometimes but still, tolerant.

but in reality you cannot do that because you got to live in a society which is interdependent.
being in a relationship with a dark skin colored is not easy even being in singapore (so called multi-racial, multi-cultural place). remember this.
having relationship with a person of different race and culture is an experience of life. you'll enjoy a lot, you'll learn a lot and so much excitement.
please no offence, i have found chinese people more skin color and race conscious when it comes to relationship/marriage as compared to indians, americans etc (from my personal experience). you'll listen the comments "????likes chocolates now", "smelly", "???? got some mental disorder or some eys side problem" and other countless expressions
PS. i was reverse case of yours. i fell for a chinese and had wonderful time with her and i'm still in love with her even after a break up in worst possible way. the only reason now i'm staying in singapore is she, just to win her back some day. i'll ask her after 2-3 years from now and if she agrees(which i don't think i have a chance) i'll take her away from singapore.

Wow surprise this topic lasted this long. Anyway nothing major happen yet but I did manage to get her HP no. (quite a great leap for a guy who can barely initial a conversation with a lady). I am only sending her a greeting sms every now and then(about once a week). Let see how things goes from here. I am not having great hope for this but keeping my finger cross Smile BTW how does some 1 knows a lady enjoys being with him regardless of race or culture.

Thats great news and btw no offence meant but what form of marriage arrangement are they having? I am kind of curious how people of different race get married like do you goes through both western and eastern form or do they pick 1. Qnswer; Love changes, by attracting people to u, u know them better and thus its easier to develop love for them, be it friendship (which is love also in my book) or a deeper romanticised love thing. I initially love the girl because of my initial perceptions about who she is, but later on in the long run,I love the kind of girl who ACTUALLY responds to my affections, and because of the graceful creature she is full of faith and empathy and is friendly. But attractions are the 1st step in anything.

Haha ur not the only guy. I have a friend (girl) who is always flooding ME with smses, keeps asking wat i am doing and telling me what she is doing.
