Sigh...

My grandma is 90 over years old liao...so are my grandaunt and granduncle (my granpa bro)

Last year she said she might not be able to see me and my siblings wedding, so she gave us some money buy rings, as her present for our future engagaement..

Then last Sunday, when we went back Malaysia visit her, she secretly passed me and my siblings some money, she told us its her secret stash. When we refused, she said she may not be around for long liao, so she might as well give out all her savings...

Damn sad when she said this, although I just keep a straight face.

Well, its my grandma who took care of us when we were young, from toddler till kindergarten before we come down to SG.

Gave us 20 sens every friday, accompany us to kindergarten, take a walk up the hills on lovely Friday mornings, feed the ducks and chickens at her farm....

I miss those days...

Make good use of the money to buy some really good jewelry you can pass down to your descendants? Like, make it a family heirloom? Something traditional, that when your grandma sees will be happy to know you made such a purchase?

I miss my grandma alot too... Treasure her while she's still around, call her whenever you're free to tell her about how you've been doing... Wink

Spend some time everyday at least 5-10mins having a small talk with your grandma. At least tell her what you had for your meals and ask her about her meals. Old folks don't need attention, they prefers company. Accompany her to watch TV or have meals with her.

It is better for you to show your appreciation for her this way while she is still alive rather than to lament and regret over it when she is not around.

Anyway, I hate people who tells me about how sad or regretful they felt for not spending enough time with this and that before he/she die. I prefer to appreciate the people around me and those that I love while they are still alive and even if they do die tomorrow, I will not miss them so much because we had many wonderful memories together...that is for as long as my memories allows me to hold on to them.

Do something about it and show your appreciation for your grandma while she is still around, don't wait.

This is part and parcel of life. When we grow old, we will leave this world. It's understandable that we'll feel sad when our love ones leave this world. Just make her happy as much as possible.

Old ppl tend to tell us that what they wish for before they leave this world. Just listen to what he or she has to say. It's just what they wish for is to tell us to be happy and not to cry even if she leave you.

I know how u feel...

Last few months... my grandma was feeling weaker than usual....

She thought she was going to die soon... and kept saying abt stuff like what ur grandma is saying....

I felt sad too....... i lived with my grandma throughout my whole childhood....

It might not be a bad thing.... at least she had remind u that she doesn't have much days and u should give her more care and concern before it's too late and u'll start to blame urself once she passed on...
She's giving u the chance to do something for her......so u'll be wen xin wu kui lo...
