yea.. and i understand in the shoes of the creditors that they wan their money back.

but i also hope they understand the current economic turmoil and give more grace time to their debtors rather than making them pay unneccessary charges which add on to their financial burden. how does this makes the situation better?

btw.. i missed 2 payments..

My car got towed because of late payment on car installment. Anyone knows how much is the towing fee? And it's really very infuriating, GE Money just called me on Monday (12 Jan 09) and I told them I had sent out the cheque. They should know it takes a few days to receive and clear cheque, right? Anyway, the representative who called me on Monday, sounds like a loanshark!

The person who towed the car even wanted start a fight with my uncle. So uncivilised!!!!!!! I cannot believe GE Money actually hire barbarians to work for them.

u also should know that cheque take a few days to clear what... send out earlier next time lah.

man times seem so bad

they usually hold 3 to 6 month be4 they tow yr car away....

i got 1 friends hold them 4 month then tio tow away and he end up paying total $2K+

anyway, guys.. i got my car back.. managed to speak to one of the officer in GE Money and she tried to waive off whatever charges she can after i explain things with her.. (at least more human lor)

my friend use to work at GE money.. he said he would not recommend ppl to take loans from there.. wonder why???

yea.. i wouldnt recommend ppl to take up loans from GE Money too.. The late fee is $40 additional each month (if u have any outstanding) plus interest, of course. regardless its a personal or auto loan..

I know from frens that Hong Leong and Maybank does not charge late fee.. just the usual additional interests, which is less than 5 bucks..

the towing fee should be around 20dollars if i'm right....if the chq is cleared, i think you will be able to collect yr car back....

For GE, i will recommend you to pay them the full payment asap... last time, i got a friend also kenna the towing due to late payment. the ppl who tow ur car are actually from outside towing services engaged by the bank. I call them bua ya (crocodile). Once they see ur car plate nbr on the wanted list, they will die die follow you then once u stopped yr car, hear comes the guys. The wont talk so much with you. You will have to liase will yr finance company.
