friendship - I am quite sure this liking has sunk in many years
back.
Yes; if she cannot see a friendship apart from her liking for you,
she sure need time for herself to clear up issues in her life and
vision. I am sure your feelings for her is very much different from
her to you - for relationship and love would have already blossom
in the past if mutual feeling and everything else is there. (Then
again, unless external factors are overwhelming)
P.S: You did the right thing? Let her walk on her own for a while.
