Observation during heavy storm at bukit batok/jurong east
ave 1
1) six 185 buses stuck at junction of PIE & jurong town hall
rd/bukit batok rd because they cannot turn right to e'way due to
uprooted tree. return journey back to Soon Lee also affected
because buses when leaving e'way, cant turn left to town hall due
to tree branches. ALL vehicles were forced to turn right
to bukit batok rd. because of this, IRIS for 185 are not
available
2)SBS7512U twrds BV also stop at slip road there
before e'way, EDS off
3) Massive Jam on both sides of Jurong East ave 1, starting from
parc oasis condo till toh guan rd(toh guan direction) &
starting from toh guan rd to after parc oasis condo (jurong west
ave 1) as well as massive jam at junction of jurong east ave 1
& jurong town hall rd.
4)Massive jam at jurong east ave 1 because tree branches fell at
road, only 1 lane passable. even some road signs fly away from its
original position & some uprooted too
5) buses along jurong east ave 1 severely affected, especially
98, 187, 333, 502.others include 334, 198, 157, 99
6)SBS3035G on 99 involved in minor accident. the exit door (left
side) glass shattered, believed to be caused by fallen tree branch.
EDS showed OFF SERVICE but saw that bus again, travelling along
jurong east/west ave 1. 3035G accident happen at bus-stop outside
parc oasis condo (twrds jurong)
7)Unidentified Vo3x batch 1 (forgot rego) breakdown. saw red
triangle with hazard light on. believe to be on 157. breakdown at
bus-stop before PIE (twrds bukit batok)
8)Jurong west ave 1 not affected at all
9)Bukit Batok west ave 8 (both side) got majority of its trees
uprooted. but 941 not affected as it can be passble in zig-zag
manner (trees fell left & right lol)
10)174 also affected (twrds boon lay). cant turn to jurong rd.
instead, turn right to PIE.
likewise twrds new bridge road, tree branch fell at stop line of
jurong rd. i think 174 used PIE too to go to bukit batok.
i remembered for no 7), the bus is SBS9223R
