Er.... u mean when u call, he did not ans, but when u not at
home, he will call?
If that's the case, be careful. He may be stalking u. 
But seriously, given that kind of scenario, it could be better if u
go ask your best friend to deliver a strong message to him about
not harassing u. Yes, being sensitive to your friend's feelings is
noble, but not at the expense of u and ur family. Or if u have, any
one who knows u and him and is discreet about the whole
thing.
Worst come to worst, maybe ur bf can do some 'serious' persuasion'
himself on your behalf.
