Let's put it this way, when there's a permanent split, I dun ever think of going back. If the r'ship cld've been saved, we wldn't haf split. Sure, I will miss an ex for awhile, but it's always better to pick ur life up & move on. Life is too short to wallow too long in self-pity.

Hehe - I actually had one of my exes drop by in Singapore for a weekend - my gf knew about it and gave her OK well in advance, of course. Anyway, 2 weeks after my gf takes off, my ex turns up - I received a (totally undeserved) reputation amongst my mates as a cananova! Mr. Green

i think it's all case by case studies lah... i always hear many stories of my frenz break up wif their bf/gf...after 1 or 2 yrs later, (i got 1, after 8 yrs), they patched again, now married happily, some wif kids liao... fate i guess... no matter wat.....if he/she is yours, will be yours. Of course during that break up period, they both found bfs/gfs, but still dunnoe y, they got back wif their exes...

But to a certain extent, i do believe that some are really a perm breakup...n they neber got back together. Let fate decide... Cool

I told my ex after three months in the break-up that i wanted to give each other another chance and hope he will too.

But it just didn't happen and he 'took his time to think about it'.

It's a year and 4 months now. I still think about him, miss him, see him... i want to let him know that i still feel something, i still feel weak in the knees..

but if i do that... it will only make me more repulsive.

and i have a boyfriend now... i met my ex on a sat to give myself a 'closure' because i always thought there was something wrong with me so he broke up with me. But I look better now and i know it's not me. So it was a good meet-up though we never talked about our past relationship- and i never told my boyfriend about the meeting because there's no point in it.

it will only hurt him. So why should i do that? Some things are not meant to be said.

for me , i wil tel her but its whether will he or she accept u back.got lots of commitments to gv him lor….try lor, unless u really gv up chance….for me, i feel i wil be te some1 tat wil help her when ever she got problems..sometime ex tat become friend is better lar, u wil know a lot of things bout him/her.trust me.

people refuse to ask for a patch not because they can really move on, it just pride matter. Actualy, if you really love someone so much before, you cant really say you move on metally and if you do, that means you didnt love the person in the first place. Its not just about self pity… I dont tink you can move on really metally if someone close like your grandfather etc passed away…. yeah.. you may do what you need to do… you refuse the patch, to sit down and eventually might solve the problem… they choose to escape like a coward(no offense) and because of pride and some end up dwelling in misery. Solitude triggers memories often too painful too bear. people are all indiviually different, there is often differences, a good and healthy relationship means sorting out differences and not everytime a problem occur = breakup . if there is the case nv had one relationship because every person you meet is going to be different.

I don't quite agree with that. It's only these forms of mentallity which holds people back alot of the time... To show themselves / others, to believe that their love is REALLY GREAT....

Personally. I find that your mentionings have alot of overgeneralising beliefs which may not actually reflect the truth in many situations...

no body ask you to wait for all your life.. some people are so consious of their pride and waiting for each other to start the reconcile talking and end up being hurt when actually both are still loving each other so badly... Singaporeans all about pride ego matter... Letting go if unless your partner is a beast.. that will make your life easier... if it just disagreements or diff point of views should sit down and talk solve not escape like a coward.. its immature way of handling problem. when there is a cause there is always a solution.

and by the way able to do the things you used to do before she/he came into your life after he/she left does not means you have moved on… you have only moved on if you had forgotton you had known a person like him/her… not acting blur but really forget…
