Most women think the reason a man doesn't call back is because
he's a creep or something to that effect. Sometimes that's true but
for most of them, what's really going on is that he is simply
scared. He doesn't want to hurt you and he
doesn't want to have "the conversation." Even when things are going
great, most men don't really like talking about anything that has
to do with "the relationship." Okay, so he's scared, but why
doesn't he call back, especially when it seemed like it was going
along fine?
There are two reasons and only two reasons a man stops seeing
a woman:
#1: She's not the right one.
#2: He's not ready.
That's it. Men know within a very short period of time if the woman
he's dating is someone he will seriously consider marrying. If he's
ready to get married, the game of wondering what he's thinking and
"where is this going" won't be as long and drawn out.
If she is the one for him, he is going to let her know with fairly
clear signals. If she is the right one but he's not ready, he'll
keep dating her but the relationship stands still. It might be
obvious to her that he really cares and is attracted to her, but he
won't talk about the future. Maybe he won't introduce her to his
family. It becomes really confusing because he keeps coming around,
keeps asking her out, enjoys sleeping with her but the relationship
is definitely not moving forward. He did all the right things, he
said all the right words, he seemed to be really interested, then
wham! Gone from the face of the planet.
When he's not ready and he knows he's not ready, he won't budge.
He'll let the right woman go, even if he's in love. That is
unfathomable to most women. But if he's getting close to that time
of "settling down" the right woman just might nudge him over the
line. Or as some men say, cause him to "pull the trigger." Ouch!
(Isn't it interesting that so many men use that phrase to describe
the act of getting married. Hmmm?)
If it goes on for years, that means he's comfortable, enjoys your
company, maybe even loves you, but if you are not the right one,
the wedding is not going to happen. We all know men who dated a
woman for years, then broke up (usually because the woman got tired
of waiting and gave him an ultimatum) and in months, he's married
to a new woman. The new one was the right
woman, the ex-girlfriend was not.
What you need to do is learn to be the right woman so that when the
right man comes along, he will become ready, simply because the
thought of losing you is too painful for him to think about. All he
has to do is be just a little bit ready and the right woman will
"nudge" him over that imaginary line.
