Intergration of 115 & 119.119 will serve hougang st 21, hougang ave 1/3, tampines rd & back to hougang st 21 bef continute its original route back to...

sbst275 SG

er... 170 route can stay till Downtown line (Bukit Panjang) is ready. The Tampines to JB route can be renumbered as a new service.

170 is likely to be kept. Somewhat they'll keep some buses for it to be there i.e. for ppl to Woodlands Centre or JB so sort.

In any case, most of 170's Bt Timah pax are either to JB or from Upp Bt Timah to Bugis (being the only bus).

sbst275 SG

I dun see why 160 should use PIE/ BKE either.

Bt Batok Rd - CCK Rd usually there's no jam other than the bottleneck at Upp Bt Timah junction.

You try using PIE you'll be stucked in slow moving traffic on top of incurring distance.

Furthermore whenever the buses are regular, you do see passengers travelling bet CCK & Jurong East.

Gus.chong SG

Bedok South not Bedok Central but it also never mind since 196 is going to Bedok Road and only duplicate a little bit of 14..

Huh? I don't remember 14 plying Bedok Ctrl. But it's just a different route to UEC.

Gus.chong SG

from JB checkpoint to Larkin, one bus every 10 mins for example, will still have empty seats... extend 160 will incur additional buses when there is no capacity issues going to Larkin.

Why don't you use lesser buses on 160? (To Kotaraya)

Right now crudely 160 has dispatch issues with the current fleet. Not to mention extending it to Larkin or even thinking of fleet reduction.

in any case, the line up of 160, 170 & 170X has to take into consideration e combi min 20 trips per 60 mins slot during peak hours.

That's the problem of using only one bus model on 160. I bet SBS Transit must purchase more buses to replace the Mark IIIs.

Issue is usually not enough drivers. There's 7 spare Sv 160 buses as s_238 mentioned above.

Any case like wat tammy has said, there's enough capacity to go around for 170 Red plate.

I hope that they can get MAN bus for service 160 and 170. Maybe 100 MAN NL series or LionCity.

But I prefer that Scania K310UB to be purchased.

All right, let's put an end to all of this thing.

Too short? I thought it would be about 45 mins during off peak to an hr plus during peak hrs... The 4 expressways alone take up about the length of svc. 858 from Lentor to CGA.

TIB1234T SG

I already posted a bus service from AMK > BNL on page 16

I see. Probably mine can be another route for faster connection?

The short I mention is because that it isn't meaningful to create a trunk route with less than three estates.

My route plys three towns, AMK , CCK and BNL

I doubt the bus can be faster by plying along AYE and CTE.

Unless you need a service from Bukit Batok to AYE(NUS). Else I think it make more economical sense by plying along Commonwealth Ave West, Commonwealth and Kampong Bahru instead.

3 estates is meaningless. But Sv 98 serving Jurong town then it's meaningless? Lol Your reasoning names no logic, like this we can forget about having Sv 99 as well. Btw,
