It's really difficult to explain and yes, different people are
subjected to different methods of chasing. You don't guarantee the
wins, but it raise your chances.
The easiest/less tedious ways guys often used is
predictability and obvious signs. However, unless your first
impression equation (FIE/FIT) rocks in more than her Standard Line
and thousands of other factors, generally the rate of success is
not high. (In simple, what the hell I am saying is that unless she
reciprocate your liking).
Check out her personality and character. For some, you can't use
headlock advances, for some, you have to. Further divided into
stealth mode, passive advances, direct charge, etc.
Check out your strengths and weakness. Analysis and know what's
good about you and avoid whats bad. (Assimilating Theory).
Together you work out a plan best suited against her. (In theory of
Chase, an analogy would be a seige attack upon the castle - which
refers to her heart. We have to make them fall, before you realise
they would fall in love with us.) 
P.S: In art of chase, all are but tools for your usage. In
marketing theory of Love, you can't rely on just one tools. We make
use of everything to our advantage.
