Your England team

Aaron Lennon Wayne Routledge I feel that they will make a big difference to the wing play.

i kinda realise something... whenever rooney play in the starting-line up, england's winning rate is kinda pathetic. Laughing

798 SG

i feel he's quite good n fast.

iceFatboy SG

firstly, I would change the manager to mr Wenger.
he can introduce a new style of playing, not necessarily successful as seen in Gunner's european quest, but it will suit england more.

798 SG

dun think wenger will love england cos the england officials seem to target him n his players most of the time.

iceFatboy SG

well, punch in Lampard's numbers, and you get worse.

iceFatboy SG

oh.. then Mourinho is out too. He has even worse relationship than Wenger.

Southgate is out considering he get penalties against MeeRebus.

The natural choice seems to be Sir Alex, cause he is LOVED by the English FA, as they always get a penalty whenever they want..

Twice A Day SG

If i were the england coach. the team would look like this

Rooney Defoe

Lennon Lampard Gerrard J.Cole

A.Cole Carragher Terry Baines

Robinson

I believe this team can go far. Have performed at club level. So no doubt about their credentials. Int level..Hmm.. My take is that its not the players that are weak but the manager. Put these players into the hands of wenger and i tell u...u will see the most flowing and attacking england ever.

Its all in the players' mentality. They have lost the dominance, esp in midfield, where the lack of control have left them short of ideas.

I dont blame players like lampard or gerrard. They are just playing without a good system or rather a system. The whole team looks lost and i feel its due to the lack of direction by the manager. The attack hardly had any bite and they felt as if they were happy with a point against israel.

Dump Mr steve and install wenger as the manager!!!! We want attacking football!!!

iceFatboy SG

sorry to throw a spanner but Gerrard and Lampard have proven that they can't play together..

stellazio SG

lampard and gerrard can play together side by side in central midfield. just let them abandon their defensive duties and let them both storm forward. sure can. Laughing

lalaTearz SG

axe lampard from england team..give him a rest…it will do chelsea more gd den harm…i onli remember tt he nv play for chelsea tis season during sheff utd…for 45min…

Balance is everything the current squad lacks. Square pegs don't fit into round holes. I'll call up Matthew Taylor and play him on the left, the kid can play. Keep Downing as backup.

I'll play EITHER Gerrard or Lampard. It's a straight forward competition b/w the two, push them to their full potential. Else they'll think they can get away with below par performances..Both of them obviously haven't been pushed enought to reach the kind of form they have for their clubs.

Lennon will start on the right for me. I'll have Beckham as back up on the bench if he tires out.

The defence is pretty much okay as it stands so no changes.

ya! make Wenger England manager, anyway he is already clueless with Arsenal and had started to lost his plot to just about any manager in EPL, might be a good change for him

in my opinion, it will be better to field some youngsters into the England first team. man utd is doing so well with their youths and experience. eg, richards to replace g.neville instead of his brother phil and foster for robinson. youngsters tend to have more hunger for success than those experience players. also, mclaren's mistakes is that he played his players out of position. carragher is much better in the center defence or right back rather than at left back. lennon can cause alot of problems on the right wing instead of the left wing. all these factors isnt helping. i'm sure if carragher were to operate on right back, barry on the left and lennon on the right wing, the results against israel wont turn out to be this outcome. also, personally i felt that lampard SHOULD be drop. instead, try out the gerrard hargreaves partnership. and, please field downing on the left wing. his crosses from the left, definitely will cause opp's defence some problems. one last thing, defoe may be short but his pace is giving defence headache. he should be the direct replacement for owen. as for johnson, he's great too. maybe because everton is not playing european football, thats why he always seems like short of some quality. by the way, why is darren bent not mentioned? he's good too! Very Happy

actually, my 1st choice would be SAF, but then he is a scots and that would slap just about every English Fans' face. They already got slapped when Sven was appointed, not good revisiting that.

So I suggested Wenger. "since everyone nowsdays believe foreign is good."

Well, Wenger does promote open and fluid football. And he is doing well with youth... For me, he is banking everything on Gunner's youth team, if that doesn't deliver. well, that's another story.

To correct a problem need to start from the top, and that's English FA.

if they got the brains to do the job properly, Big Phil would be in now and we won't have this big problem.

So I think Mac will go and till the next manager, the England team will still be in the ruins.

the english hates the french even more.. Laughing
