Liverpool, Chelsea to battle for
Barcelona firebrand Eto'o

The Premiership's big trio, Chelsea, Manchester United and
Liverpool are being linked with Barcelona firebrand Samuel
Eto'o.
The Daily Mail says the Cameroon striker has sparked a scramble for
his services by blasting both his manager and team-mate Ronaldhino
and has revealed he would love to play for Arsenal.
"I love Arsene Wenger, he is one of the best coaches in the world,"
said former Mallorca marksman Eto'o. "I could have played for
Arsenal some years ago. I would have loved to have had Wenger as my
coach."
But Liverpool, Chelsea and possibly Manchester United are more
realistic destinations if Eto'o is allowed to leave in the
summer.
The Gunners are still counting the cost of their move to the
Emirates Stadium and simply do not have the financial firepower to
match the top flight's big hitters.
Now that Liverpool are owned by American billionaires Tom Hicks and
George Gillett, who have the cash to rival Stamford Bridge kingpin
Roman Abramovich, prices for Europe's top bracket stars like Eto'o
are expected to climb to even more dizzying levels.
