everytime i approach girls directly as in "hi... blah blah blah... ask about her...blah blah tell about myself blah blah"

Whenever i try that... the girls look at me in a very weird way... like why am I talking to them? And they always avoid eye contact... i am not too close to them... its like there is 50 cm of distance from us... so i don't know what is the problem. And another thing...its like i am always doing the talking....she never talks back... otherwise there is just silence and no conversation....THIS HAS HAPPENED WITH 17
