If i'm not mistaken sex change operations normally take place after a couple of years of counselling and trying to live as the sex you want. Only after going through it are you brought to the operating table.

If they feel they really can't live the way they are, i would personally advise them to go to the hospital and enquire about how it is done. If after going though the counselling they still believe they should change sex then why not ?

There is nothing wrong or immoral about wanting to change sex but it is very important to be sure. Sex change operations are a very taxing procedure both mentally and physically.
