Something that I learn from my psych class. I think the first thing
is that you got to change your attitude or mindset. If you think
that you will lie in bed and be late, as it is your habit, you will
always lie in bed and be late.
If you want to be punctual, first you need to tell yourself what
time you need to get up, and ask yourself why you need to get up at
that time, then you think about how important and how interesting
it would be to be engaging in that activity.
Then you consider how would that person really feel, if he/she has
been waiting for you all the while, when you're sleeping or tossing
in bed, and put yourself in the position of the friend, would you
be mad??
It's about how our minds think and perceive the scenerio to be. If
you think something is unimportant and uninteresting, I think you
will not even be thinking of dragging your feet to the place. Take
for instance, you're going on a trip abroad, a field trip or a
school camp, I think in those instances you will be so excited that
you are eager to be there from the day before right??
In statistical research, it has been proven that, changes needs to
be done over time, getting better each time, and not immediate
change. And you need at least 21 times of such change continuously
before it will be a permanent change.
Hope I have helped in some ways, if you think I'm talking BS,
please give it a shot first.
