If height is such a issue to u, then perhaps you did not look further into that particular person's characteristic. Not all human r born perfect (maybe in the near future with the technology) but so far, i guess you just have to settle for something less.

One reason could be due to cultural shock. that @$%^& place is very
different from civillian life. The trainning there sorts of brings the
savage out of you. Personally, it took me 1/2 a year after ORD before I
can turn back normal. I still had my mood swings and eccentric temper
during the 6th month transition period. So gals with bf in army or coming
out, do be understanding to him. It is not easy for a guy to express his
feelings and all the filth that he is bottling up is causing him uttermost
stress. Give him all the support he needs and he will revert back to
normal faster. Hope this helps.

Hi apple_pie, 4 years ago, i met this girl, i have a very special feeling for her since then. This pretty and sweet looking girl is taller than me.
I know i like her, so i started chasing her. In general speaking, girls like taller-than-her guys. But the feeling is so strong that i hold my height-barrier to the max. I must agreed that when i'm standing beside her, i felt kind of uneasy(btw, i'm few cm shorter than her).
