but if we lose it and we are attached to it in our heart, then
thats not fine. It doesn't matter what the object is,becos its not
the object which is the problem. The problem is our inner graspin
mind that keep us bound to the wheel and keeps us suffering. If our
mind was open and could just let things flow naturally, there would
be no pain. Do you understand?
We need our every day life to work on this to really being to see
the greed of attachment in the mind and gradually being to lessen
and lessen it
When we lose something we love, its our attachment which is the
problem, not the loss. Thats what causes us grief. The buddha
taught that with attachment comes fear and grief. We have the fear
of losing and then we have the grief when we lose.Buddha never said
that love causes grief
Genuine love and kindness is desperately needed in this
world.
it comes from appreciating the object, and the rejoicing in the
object, wanting the object to be happy
and well, but holdin it lightly and not
tightly
Above was not from me, It was from the Book called Three Teachings
by Tenzin Palmo. Hope it could help you cos it helped me to reason
things out[/b]
I like this quote! Thanks RockSoilder! I just met my ex this few
days to return her some photo. I was feeling really confuse,
thinking of asking her back, try to be together again...all this
thought although I know it may be a foolish things to do.
But when I reach, she took a guy along with her. I think it means
something..... so on my way back....I slap myself a few times to
wake up my idea.
Now....ok life is getting real stress for me. Manage to pick up
some interest in work. Getting back with my old friends. Sometimes
will smoke esp at nite feel really lonely.
Thanks everybody!
