I speak only for myself, but i'd prefer it if my lady had more
experience. The issue of virginity is overrated in my opinion - it
seems to have evolved into something we all have been conditioned
to 'want' in a partner, in the same way we wish they are tall,
dark, handsome, pretty, good figure, et cetera.
And as all 'conditions' go, this one is unfortunately not very
reasonable to ask. (I know i'm risking the fire from others, but
it's just my opinion) We are all human, and it is us to err.
Perhaps some person in your life has erred in this fashion doesn't
mean they are any worse off than one who has say, a history of
drug-abuse. So i say look beyond the surface to what's
beneath.
Another reason is because its a very large responsibility to ever
be a person's first lover. If things work out well, then this
person may never sleep with another - all her/his sexual happiness
is in your hands. It's like being someone's first BF/GF, because
there is popular belief that one's first relationship (BGR) shapes
the course of their entire life with regards to future BGRs. Now,
just think of this in a greater, irreversible context to see the
amount of responsibility entailed into being someone's first
lover.
All said and done, i believe that 'virginity' is simply one more
condition we attach to partners we wish to have. And as humans,
some of us may not have it due to previous errors or experiences,
but it doesn't make these people any less perfect than anyone else
out there.
