Short Ninja SG Yes Nakamura is currently making headlines with his vision and free kicks. The Celtics is giving him all the opportunity to built his own confidence and his head is still growing and growing.J-league players will anything to make the National Team but once inside they fizzle out.I feel Osim should bring back a few of the lau chiaw players and put eye drops in his eyes and beg some of them to come back. He is not as lazy as Zico…cho bo lan get paid and screwed up the National Team back to S-league level, this coach will do better but Japan can never be number one in Asia again
SpeedCam1852 SG actually guys.... i still prefer kazuyoshi Miura..... he is japan record scorin holder and so far no one broke it(i think still stands)...n i think he is also e first japanese player to be outside of j league n italian league.....altou he didnt really shine much at genoa fc....
japantvlover SG Yeah, gotta admit Shinji is a little bit inconsistant but look how many injuries he's had especially in Europe. Takes time to come back so if he's injury free, he shoud be more consistant.. Nakata is still overated, besides he's retired now
Short Ninja SG But I must admit that 6 years ago I thougt Ono would be a great player too.Have you heard of Maezono(same youth team as Nakata)? He was like the Diego Maradona of Japan..became famous suddenly but also disappeared so suddenly.Miura is a legend with Verde Kawasaki and Japan soccer…he went to soccer school in Brasil and was the first player to play in Italy but unable to shine…not only that it also broke his spirit. It was easy for him to be a superstar in the 90s because J-League was new at that time and the level was totaly different. That old horse still plays in the J-league not because he is still good but because he is a great morale booster for the young blood.Die Die also must play soccer…...something like those people who sign on in SAF all their life!
Short Ninja SG Nakata star was bright cuz the timing was good for him also.Under the French Coach Japan played as a complete team ok he was overrated and no one to compete with.Even in quitting it was good timing.always quit when you are on top that way people would remember you better.Right now the two top teams in Asia is Iran & Australia after that we have the two koreas followed by some dark horses like Bahrain or Qatar.Dont know what happened to China & kazakstan but they used to be good.Japan is like starting from scratch. With Zico its the same faces each time they play a team, with Osim its always new faces.I think Japan needs to get Hiddink or a coach/manager who is good in rebuilding a team.
supersizeben SG Nakata---- was good at his prime. Vision was his key Nakamura---- good too. lethal left football. Think Takahara--- looks promising. however, seems like there's no news from him
Short Ninja SG Takahara has got the ingredients to be a good striker but until now he still cant put it all together.Being an exciting striker playing with style but without scoring many goals will not good enough,if you remember Shoji Jo 10 years ago(same same).Takahara is one of the lucky guys to be playing outside Japan.
