true indeed.
It has always been this way - choices.
To choose to donate or not.
Pple tend to close their eyes, and spend the $$ to make theirselves
happier - it is easier this way.
but what is the worth of $$$ this way? few ever tot about it. A
transient moment of pleasure or joy. You change little except maybe
simulating the economy.
You leave nothing in this world.
As Albert Pine had said,
What we do for ourselves dies with us;
what we do for others and the world remains and is immortal.
If the $$ is instead donated to aid a worthy cause, the worth of
the $$ is not just a moment of pleasure, it is something eternal.
it is not the gratitude of the recipients, but because, you had
made a difference.
Everyone, everything is interlinked, just like fate that encompass
all of us in its tangled web. take pride in that you had maked a
difference, no matter how small. Even the tiniest pebble will make
a ripple in the largest ocean.
Just something to share... one of my favorite verses by William
Henry Channing
My Symphony
To live content with small means;
To seek elegance rather than luxury,
and refinement rather than fashion;
To be worthy , not respectable, and wealthy, not rich;
To study hard, think quietly,
Talk gently,
Act frankly;
To listen to stars and birds, to babes and sages, with open
heart;
To bear all cheerfully,
Do all bravely,
Await occasions,
Hurry never.
In a word, to let the spiritual, unbidden and unconscious, grow up
through the common.
This is to be my symphony
-- William Henry Channing(1810-1884)
