Singh don't get accidents.
Ever saw one?

It was actually a bunch of doctors that got the government to make
helmets compulsory. They noticed that many of the motorcyclists
that are stretchered in die of head injuries. They could have
broken bones and become crippled or amputees, but it is usually the
head injury that do them in.
Helmet don't save lives.
At best, it makes you to be aware of your vulnerability everytime
you put it on.
You tumble and land on your head.
Your head slam on to a vehicle.
Your head bounce on the road.
A heavy vehicle runs over your torso/head.
You break your neck.
Any one of these and you're dead.
Good padding in your helmet is very important.
When you fly, and your helmeted head hit something and stop
suddenly, your brains going to get squashed by the momentum. The
padding could provide the braking effect to the head so that the
brains won't bunch up in your skull.
Its a very slim chance, but hey! its better than nothing.
