but try to do oil change regularly
that will helps the engine life span

then 1st thing is get a reliable mechanic to check

dont forget, some vespa use premix 2t thats mean 2t is mix together with petrol

full tank vespa can go average 120km-150km before it hit reserve on 5l of petrol

honestly speaking between vespa and wave,
wave is more economic but vespa wins cool factor Very Happy

There are so many cheaper bikes that require even cheaper maintenance for Class 2B bikes, why only choose Vespa? Let me see, got Suzuki GN125, Honda CG125, Honda Phantom TA200, Daelim Daystar 125, Daelim Magma 125, Yamaha YBR125 and many more. All of these bikes are 4-stroke and require only the occasional oil change.

I think a Phantom handles better on the expressways(at expressway speeds) den a Kup Kia or a Vespa.

Also more stable during wet weather due to its low Centre of Gravity and its heavy weight.

Btw, Is a Motard(Scrambler with Road tires ) good for use in Singapore?

How abt the new Gilera Runner 200??
Its automatic. Good for lazy ppl who dun like gear changing.
Very quiet ride.

My first scooter was a Vesper, and I do not recommend it.

It is light, very nimble and economical.

It is very dangerous on wet road condition, and I skid very often... too often.

When you need to e-brake, the rear type tends to skid off.

The clutch cable keeps breaking easily.

On highway, tends to float and sway when lorry go pass... and imagine if it starts to rain.. You have to go slow and Car don't give a damn about you..

DO NOT BUY A SCOOTER..

Not confirm. Must depend on age lor. But if you really want, definitely can find those bikes in those models that are cheaper than Vespa except for the Honda Phantom TA200. For example, some time back, I saw a Daelim Magma going for $450 and a Daelim Daystar going for $600.

I think some of the scooters are okay, such as the Piaggio X8/X9. Maybe a Vespa is not practical enough and not very safe for everyday riding, though.
