i am thinking to get a phantom 150 or 200 i want to know that is the bike got any problem or not and how is the Fuel Consumption? thanks

The Phantom is a hardy bike.
Just need to change engine oil, every 2000km
Change brake pad, when necessary.
Oil the chain.
It is a low maintenance bike.
You must remember to loosen the sparkplug every year or it will get stuck.
Mine fires every time without fail for 3+ years on the original spark plug.
Brake oil still there. Although its high time to change it too.

Problems: Engine don't sound good when not properly warmed up.
No fuel gauge. Therefore fill tank every approx 250km.
Full tank milage 300km.
Loose cables rattles under the tank.

Thanks mancha,are you saying the 200cc type?i am only ride bike during weekends just want to try other type of bike and i am now owning a honda sonic

phantom cornering need to be careful… most of the time the bottom will be scratched if you bend too low

Hi there.

If you like to try scrambler type which is not too high in height, try the Honda XR 125.
Good FC...1 litre can go 36 to 40 km, about 300km b4 hit reserve tank.
Rugged too...
4 stroke, air cool...maintence wise....Honda XR had a good reputation of low maintenance.

ha,i don't like the scrambler because i don't think my foot can reach the ground
when not moving and i also don't like sport bike type i am not that chiong type,
now i only want a bike easy to ride like phantom or scooter type.

i used to ride a phantom 200 2nd hand. there's some gear problem so pls check the gear shifting before purchasing. if find difficulty, dun buy. i spent $600 just to change the gears...inside out.

otherwise it's good. change engine oil every 2000km. change the start plug every half a year, the battery at least every 2 years. and the brake pad to inspect every engine change.
