Hi, well its true that old bikes are problematic… In fact
anything old (electonic or mechanical) will prove to have loads of
problems. I own a 9-yr old Fireblade. Yeah, in the beginning it
really gave me few problems, stall halfway then have to tow back to
workshop, waste time n money… But, what I did is tell my mechanic:”
Give my bike a ‘Total Check-Up’ to see if there’s anything in my
bike which needs to be replaced”, which I
1-shot replaced jus so that my bike wont stall again.. So if
ur afraid of buyin a old GSX, I tell u not to
be, when u buy ur GSX, jus send it to your
mechanic and ask him which parts needs replacing, then according to
your justification u replace as need be. Minor things like petrol
pump, oil leaks, brake pads wont cost much lah… unless your talking
about pistons, gearbox all that, this depends on ur luck lor.
