Is Traffic Accident Rate involving Motorbikes all Make up??

I have seen a gross one which happened at the bus stop in front of my house This was in the papers Bike skidded and the bus crushed the head of the rider.....

What are ur views people?

I never seen any accident involving motorbike in my life, but keep hearing people saying that the accident rate for bikes are extremely high.

Is this a trick by the Goverment to inject fear into motorbikers, to discourage people from buying motorbikes and riding them?

Nope, it's real, my father just witness one motorbike accident 2 or 3 weeks ago, passenger died, driver injured. Confused

i jus had a presentation on traffic accidents and my main pt was to cre8 awareness for motorcyclists..

u should know that they only have a helmet as protection.. compared to other vehicles like cars, lorries.. motorcycle is like a naked child.. cars have a steel body, seat belt, air bag.. even if kanna accident also have low chance of death.. unless damn jia lat lar.. if motorcycle bang any other vehicle that guy sure fly one.. then scrape against the road.. bleed profusely.. then.. die

i havent seen a lot, but definitely i have seen some... i guess it the way some bikers drive... they keep zooming in and out between lanes and they drive quite fast... accidents involving bikes and cars are very common... i dont think the figures are made up...

I have also seen it many times, and most times, the motorcyclist is quite seriously injured.

they always say the high accident rate of motorcycles.. but they never mention the percentage of bike accidents involving 4 wheelers.. they create awareness for bikers about the danger but they didn't create awareness for other road users about the vulnerability of motorcycles.. and to look out for them..
i am both a rider and a driver.. when i drive.. i definitely look out for motorcycles.. but i don't think many do the same.. because i experience it alot when riding.. it takes both hands to clap..

it's true. i've got into accidents 2 times, 1 time my cousin riding than i pillion, kanna knock by a lorry. nothing serious, just dat i vomit
2nd time my ex riding me pillion again.... just came out of carpark, then lost control, then skid liao.
when i ride, nothing happen, only time was when my legs suddently no strength like jelly fall slowly sideways, halfway up a very steep slope.

got 1 frd died from bike accident, only 19ys old. me the one who introduce him ride bike one. heard of frds' frds who died too.

must be careful, can be fatal if not careful. drunk, tipsy, bad mood, tired, sick dun ride.... of course if legs like jelly oso dun ride

Tat time i at polyclinic... saw tis guy who fall down from bike...

Fall nia... Not so fatally serious... But lik very jia lat ready... he whole leg alot of cuts, and the skin come out... He pain till down there shivering....

So scary... see so painful...

well a motorcycle is not a toy after all!

u hav to take great care of it n to always be on alert at all times while riding it
if u choose to ride then u hav to take full resposibility in watever happens
i hav seen riders using phones for smsing while riding... yes one hand riding!

u hav been warned, read n heard about all the dangers it could bring so if u think u can surpass all dat n u would be a little lucky... then go ride a bike Mr. Green

always treat 4wheels as a hazard or a monster... watever!
try to always keep away from them if u can
the bigger they r the more dangerous they will be!

never ever speed whenever u hav a pillion!
trying to show off or juz for the fun of it n making ur pillon pay is definately a no no!
whoever of u dat leave tiz world is not goin to be a happy moment...
u definately would never want to be filled wif so much guilt n regrets...

ps: i seriously think dat drivers should be made compusory on a yearly basis to be educated on always keeping a look out for not only cars but most importantly bikes as well.

I have seen a bike accident b4 but luckily, the driver was not injured. He just fell off the bike.

I have 2 friends who were involved in bike accidents b4. One of them was injured when he make a turn but i think he lost his balance and he fell and now, although he has fully recovered, u can still see the scars on his hand.. Damn scary...

Another one just happened recently. His bike was knocked by another car from behind and as a result, he was hospitalised.

If you fell down on your own, usually it is not fatal. You break some bones or your back. At the very least you get some scratches.
Most fatalities are because the poor fella is run over by another vehicle, like lorry or bus or even a car.

Speeding is also another cause. When the rider fly and land on his head or wrap himself around a tree, I don't think the helmet will save him.
Usually the newspapers report that the motorcyclist/pillion is killed, and make no mention of the other vehicle involved. So we don't know how the poor chap is killed. Newspapers do not want to mention that the lorry/bus went over the poor fella's head, and the chap died legs kicking.

Motorcyclists ride carefully, and defensively.
Do not let the other vehicle knock you into the path of another vehicle.
Follow the vehicle infront and don't squeeze between vehicles.
The mistake may not be yours, but the life and limb will be yours.

There are 200 plus fatalities per year. Less than 2 per day. Highly likely that when an accident happen, you are not around.

hi for every bike accidents that gets reported ... many more less serious ones get NOT reported ...
believe me that are many accidents ...
only maybe u luck u never been in one: as for the accident rate the BASTARD TP trying to paint a VERY BAD pic about motorcyclist : tats y i call them TB: traffic BASTARD not TP

Mr. Green well, personally i dun think its made up....i seen fren accident b4, either they self skided or they got hit by 4 wheelers.....got a fren hit n run by taxi at pie last yr.....go jb see a bike got hit by the taxi over there n die on the spot, a fren's fren at ph heavily injured and gf died, my ex fireblade owner best fren died infront of him on the spot at lentor sle, my current owner for it hit a car n fly due to malaysian bike cutted into his lane when lane change, ii nearly hitted by taxi afew time coz they tail gate mi till so near.....got once he purposely drive beside me and swerve in and wan hit my leg.....bloody asshole.... i personally think that 4 wheelers nit to b taught on not to tail gate bike…alot i seen like to tailgate…..u move fast, they still tail gate, u slow down either they high blem u or they tail gate somemore…..
