It'll be even more disheartening to see a petite gal on the road
riding her R6 / R1 effortlessly
But dun worry, it's just your 1st lesson, you'll get better once
you get the hang of it. The best way to troubleshoot your problem
is to ask the instructor. That's what they're there for.
Do you lean your body towards your turning direction? I saw some
newbies are afraid to lean their body when turning. They turn the
handle bar, but when the bike starts to lean, they use their bodies
to counter-balance (to keep the bike upright), because they're
afraid the bike will fall. I'd say that'll make turning pretty damn
heavy
Unlike cars, bike wheels are aligned in a relatively straight line,
even when turning. The shape of the tire causes the bike to turn
when it leans to the left or right. So leaning is compulsory, but
I'm sure you already know that. If that's not the cause of your
problem, as I said, ask the instructor
