Arsenal had more posession in the first half but chelsea were never in danger of being overwhelmed. Arsenal looked lost when they got near chelsea's penalty area despite more possession.

I'd say they are on par rather than arsenal playing them off the park.

but frankly speaking, chelsea should be ashamed of themselves, cos they r facing an inexperience n an average of 23 years old squad without a few key injuries players like henry, rosicky, gallas, etc. and YET, they cannot win n somemore letting gunners lead first.

in tt match..i feel tt arsenal was not attacking at all...more on def..passing ball around...if they really wan att..i dun think their shot on goal/target will onli be 10+....gerrard n lampard is not playing really well tis season...last season..lampard is better i guess..but gerrard influence in liverpool was great..tt wat lampard lack of...n i guess..gerrard can def better den lampard...

football has nothing to do with age. on any day even a non-pro team can beat a champion.

moreover chelsea did play much better than arsenal. if not for the woodwork and the rain chelsea would have won easily.

1/2 the squad collecting 100k per week and they play liddat? Somemore at home to a young squad….stil the manager can talkcok saying Arsenal not going for a win. I read someone wrote “if JM leave next May”. Although Arsenal is luckly but Chelsea dun look to be the champion, they always go for 1-0 win which is a under performance to a big team. Why can’t they be honest and face the turth that their maga star is way under par. Money is not always the solution, is how they make use of the players they have. If Shev can score with Europe top club in major competition why not in EPL? Something wrong with JM tactic?

are you sure half the squad is collecting 100k?

afaik only 4 players get 100k or more. terry/lampard (100k), ballack/sheva 130k) - which i think is silly.

the reason why chelsea lost both away games is exactly because of the fact that they always sit back after taking the lead. something which i agree, it is unbecoming of a champion to keep having one nil results.

btw it is obvious arsenal went there for a draw. even wenger admitted at the post match interview.

Of course, their top scorer is not playing.. Henry. if he has been playing, instead of RVP, I think it would be a total different result.

To me, Arsenal showed more creativity and technical skills compared to Chelsea. They were able to break out from the flanks.

Imagine MUFC taking away Rooney, RioF, and Scholes, Giggs, and they took the lead but lost to a fanastic goal, I would give them full marks.

Looking at chelsea, if they were allowed more subsititues, I bet Jose would have played. You are talking about a young team facing Robben, SWP, Drogba, FL, the full Chelsea team, the Champions on a ground where they are near invinicible.

I just don't understand why getting a draw for Arsenal is a cooperation between them and Chelsea as mentioned by Mad Jose. What's his logic??
Arsenal put the ball in the goal first.. without four to five 1st teamers, going to a ground where Chelsea has not lost for 51 matches, hey, what you expect?

Full credit to Arsenal, they did not park the bus in front of their goal, they went and still played their football. At times, it even left Cole on his backside.

If this young Arsenal side, beaten MUFC, Liverpool and now draw Chelsea, I really fear when they matures.

dont give henry too much credit. to date he has not been playing well.

chelsea were obviously much better than arsenal that night.

though most people chose not to admit it.

the poll on espn about whether draw was a fair result. the answer is obvious. there are a lot of anti-chelsea people out there.

Sorry, may I ask how different?

To me, Gerrard and FL are supposed to be AMs.

They both try to score from long range, putting in fanastic goals when on form. They both try to assist their forwards by putting in pinpoint crosses.

But for me, StevieG needs to do more, he doesn't have a Makele or a reliable Terry.

a lot of people cant separate what happens on the field and what happens off the field.

you dont need jose to be humble to make chelsea a worthy champion.

Its a pity that he still has not found his form which was what chelsea bougt him over in the first place for. Its too late to say loan him out now becuz you just dun do that to someone whom you paid that much for. Mourinho should review his tactics and see wheres the missing link between shev and the rest of his crew.

Hmm, i think Essien's goal shook the entire Arsenal's defence. They all seemed lost after the ball went in.

But, should Wiley saw Cole's foul on Hleb, it would be a different story.
Chelsea would not have attacked like nobody's business and Arsenal would not be on the backfoot.

i doubt is just that pple don't like jose attitude and the money spent by chelsea

but they DO NOT support MUFC becoz they know MUFC fans will be super arrogant after they get 1 EPL TITLE and Sir Alex Ferguson And the players will be super proud

so the conclusion from the game that chelsea did not win the game are:

- arsenal team too young, not good enough to inspire chelsea to play well
- arsenal too defensive, even though they lead first
- no luck x 10
- got rain (arsenal was playing in sunshine?)
- arsenal's goal smaller than chelsea's one, coz keep hitting the woodworks
- ref bias against chelsea, even though he allows play to go on when cole fouled helb
- ballack and shev not good enough

besides unlimited funds, it sounds like chelsea also needs quite a lot of handicap to come out victorious?
