English Wasted Talent

Big Sam’s club may be flying high, but it has been said he favours long ball style. In general, such tactics are easily undone when they play against Latin A...

Wad about Stan Collymore?
He always score on his debut for every club he joined but i dont think he won any honour rite?

Cheers.

Yes, when he first came out in 94 with forest when they got promoted to the epl, he was with great promise, then he moved to liverpool. first year at liverpool was ok, but 2nd year onwards, i think he attitude or something, then later was sold to villa.

what a pity, he got skill and pace, but alas, he got attitude 2.

marcteng SG

jonathan woodgate. he is a sad story cos of neverending injuries

suckthumb.com SG

ya man.. Matt Le Tissier is also another wasted talent, he did so well in Southhamton that i dare said he was the reason why they managed to stay in EPL..the guy has so much talent in his pocket.. but sad that due to he die hard support for them, he remains as a Saint till he retired..really wonder how far will be go if he happens to play for the big three at his peak..

suckthumb.com SG

dunno if thats the same match, but remembered he was once punished by his then manager Roy Evans.. after his big hoohaa against Man Utd when he was being found out to be playing some kinda computer game till early morning the night before..

suckthumb.com SG

ya.. the most expensive youth player in England or was it the most ex youth SAF ever brought.. he live up to his billing is the next best thing untill another wonderkid call Ryan Giggs came thru the ranks.. after that was his drinking and gamble that ruin his football.. Sad Sad

suckthumb.com SG

he was a good striker but super lazy lor.. still remember seeing him in Kallang Stadium during the 90s.. super cool but after playing for Liverpool his head turn too big for his neck.. another sad case

BrUtUs SG

alot of talent went downhill due to wrong attitude… if their head didnt get too big or they hv the discipline england would’ve more glory liao…

Marco_Simone SG

Matt Le Tissier had the ball skills of a Brazilian, that was why he seldom played for England.

In England, hard work and good attitude is more important than the ability to score a 30 metre chip...

Collymore later played for VIlla, Leicester & Bradford. His last club was some obscure Spanish outfit.

THere was a period when he was treated for depression. The most recent news about him was about landing a part in Basic Instict II, which starred Sharon Stone.

iveco SG

I agree with your assessment. Discipline is important. However, many young players let their ego take control. Sad

alan shearer in his blackburn days, simply scoring machine! Very Happy

BrUtUs SG

ya he was a much bigger terror... but due to his DCL injury it slowed him down plus aging...

T.Ryousuke SG

John Aldridge, Chris Sutton, David bentley, Kevin Davies.

ghimpheng SG

joey barton maybe but the england squad is full of superstars it is really hard to get in

powerful strikers are what england is lacking

marcteng SG

what abt man u alan smith?

read from soccernet that smith is going to be loaned out to div 1 club isnt it.
but why if smith is loaned out, who is going to cover for saha in case he get injured? rossi is now on loan to newcastle.

marcteng SG

oh yeah, i remembered a wasted talent, but he is a pseudo-englishman, his name is GP, his one and only talent is mouth of the east, king of trash talker. I reckon he is a wasted talent here.
