agree, if you dun wan to wash and use autosol, cover your bike lor, I have not been covering my bike, regret, now many spot rusty and start to corrode lor

but the daily dust will still dull ur crome...just use a cloth to wipe..if rainy daes, clean the water spot when its dry asap..if not the stain will sticj=k and hard to come out,...especially on the pipe

Kick to neutral aren't a big problem, guess you are not use to it that all.

I mention 1 method, to off engine and on again. This method great as you need not reverse your bike.

Some suggest another which is to reverse abit, 1/2 clutch gear 1 move forward, then kick immediately.

Both method works...

tell u wat....go change ur engine oil and pour a bit of 'gear up' from DIY shop. ur gear wuld be smooth when changing....if still cannot, go back to the shop and exchange 4 a new bike....the bike may have drop or fallen b4...

as for petrol.....full tank last more dan 300km. normally, i top up whenever reaches 300km.

btw abt the brake light..
does it only lit on when u apply hand brake and not the foot brake??

or shld it be both??

i check ard with some of my biker's frd and they told me tt some bikes only ha Question ve brake light on when foot brake is depressed..

both should light up...so long u brake, no matter front or rear. if either one does not light up, tat means that the wire inside is not connected either from the front or rear brake to the break light.

u phantom seem to haf lots of problem ah....go bike shop do up loh

fine tune wat? clutch freeplay?

u see to my understanding wat happened was that my clutch cable worn out such that i need to adjust my clutch until the biting point is far away. the tension in the cable was worn out such that at fully clutch in it still did not clear the biting point ie still at biting point with fully clutch in. dats why at 1st gear cannot kick to neutral, but solved when switched off coz engine not running will be able to engage.

i solved it by adjusting biting point very far away. no probs but i wasnt comfortable with the far biting point so i changed the cable. like i mentioned, u can try checking by adjusting such that ur biting point is further away then usual. if it completely solve ur problem then its the cable. u can oso check by clutching in fully, at 1st gear, rev; if u can feel the bike wanting to move forward even at fully clutch in then u HAVE to adjust ur freeplay.

my ta150 has both but need to step harder on foot brake to light up. front brake light tap and it will light up, i tend to use it to 'tap-tap' brake lights as a caution to vehicles behind me. look carefully and u will notice the contact point at the front brake lever with a button that activates the lights. rear brake i never realli check.

Ya. If u wanna brake, use the brakes. They are there for the purpose. It's not healthy for the engine to use engine brake.

Graduate engine braking is alrite. Don't step down 2 gear a time lor. Raining day use more engine brake cos use brake hav chance for bike to skii...

maybe as long we did apply some brakes, drop some speed and drop gear, from there obtain some engine brake, it shld be fine i guess....

also when the bike is in upright position u shake a little and u still can see some petrol splashing inside, is it ok to last another 30km?? is this considered half tank level??

another frd also told me theres a guage where i can check level of engine oil, where is it located?

sorry for my qns as iam really new to bikes.... Confused

think you can adjust the sensitivity of the brake light when you step on the rear brake..that's for TA200 lah.. just the nut infornt of the rear brake with the cable and nut.. tighten/lossen to adjust. realsie also that 2 seperated bubs for rear brake light.. one that is always on and the other lights up when you step on brake.
