read tat even b4 buying...thks.think its true. me just want smoother gear n less vibration.. so not much of concern. dont mind paying for every oil change.

Original is the best......

If you change to a better pickup, you will need for petrol for high speed. For example, if now you always travel at 6k rpm for 100km/h, after you change liao, you might need 6.5k to reach that speed. Consider yourself lor....... Just to provide you information. Rolling Eyes

if u riding sp ,can use 415 chain (increase in pickup and rear)

You can perform 3 things.

1) Improve power. This would mean things like spark plug, certain pipe. Would also improve general bike performance but very expensive.

2) Change gear ratio. Bigger rear sprocket or smaller front pinion both increases pick-up. More commonly used by ppl.

3) Improve mechanical efficiency. Things like high-grade chain, sprocket. This is very minimal and not normally recommended.

In lay mens' term...

RPM = power
Pick-up = Torque
Speed = angular velocity.

Recalling that power = (torque)x(angular velocity). If you increase torque while maintaining power, angular velocity will decrease.

This is why when you change rear sprocket to bigger to increase pick-up your top speed will decrease.

There is an increase in RPM(power) because you need to increase power to achieve same speed(angular velocity) as before. Torque is determine by gear and sprocket ratio and is fixed.

if a bike is travelling at 100km/hr at RPM 6,
and u change to a bigger sprocket (for pickup) (which is like changing to a tire of smaller circumference) ,ur bike nd more rotation to rch the same speed. Laughing

So you are saying that when you use lower octane petrol, compared to a higher one.. Eg. between 98 and 95, you can feel the difference.. and that is pickup for 95 is more powerful??? How about top end?? mid range??? etc.. =)

I riding TA200 too, using V-Power....it gives better power than other petrol, but some say got vibration problem...dunno what they mean by vibration but mine ok leh.
