mmmmmkay, let's discuss this... but i must first state that i'm
not too sure where the 2T goes to for a 2 stroker.. i see a tube
leading from my 2T reservoir to the carb, and another one going
into the crankcase...
digress a little: for 4 strokers, it won't harm the engine. your
engine is lubricated no matter what happens.. in fact, when your
bike runs out of petrol and it just dies, no issue at all since
your piston(s) are more thoroughly lubricated by the 4T in the
crankcase (petrol "washes" off the 4T on the cylinder walls/piston
rings).
for 2 strokers: don't think it will, but i'm assuming that the
stupid tube that runs into the crankcase actually does some work.
besides, if 2T is fed into the float bowl, even when your bike runs
out of petrol, 2T will still atomize/evaporate and enter your
cylinder (when your engine is ABOUT to die, the piston is still
moving, so airflow is there). maybe perhaps not that much. which
leads to a discussion about how the vapour pressure of a substance
is influenced by the presence of "impurities" (that is, petrol),
but that's something i can't really contribute on...
someone else to keep the ball rolling?
