AXO_vampire SG anyone has any idea how to complete run in 'faster' other than juz goin on the road?? Muz run in how much ah ?
Givache SG err use a "i dunno call wat" but to raise the bike..then u run in on the spot..lolz.. run in about 1k can liao lah.. me last time sp about 1k changed 2 times engine oil then can chiong liao.. Givache
AXO_vampire SG bcoz the other time i run in 500, then few months lata,went for check and found my piston & block got some chip-off.haiz... Btw,does adding additional 2t into the fuel help???
-=[ChEeZe]=- SG that thing called dyno... like a conveyer belt lidat... wheel can move but the blet also move... so in the same spot.. like running in threadmill la... no need la.. slowly run in loh... no hurry.. first run in i finish 1k den zhua... travel another 4.5k piston jam liao... den must run in again... hai~...practice a little patience to walk a longer mile...
nismoS132 SG if you're gonna prop your rear wheel on a jack, then let it spin and think it'll run in, please read my thread titled "piston thingie", click the link and read the last paragraph. or if you dun mind getting a new engine, go right ahead
nismoS132 SG running in is not about distance, it's about letting your piston/block/thingamagick get used to different pressures at different rpms. if you run 1000kmh at only 80kmh, you're not running in. you're just running.
LCBear SG hi!there are some myths about this for such a long time and its still going on.haiz,actually the running in is for the piston to get accustom to the block.as the rings ands stuff are new,they have a machined surface which cannot be seen by the naked eye.running inmediately with these will cause accelerated wear and will jam the piston. the talk of the 1k is just a safety mark of running in.actually riders who are so used to their bikes can actually feel the piston has run in already.for example my lc kia,i clocked about 550 then feel the bike can go ahead and whack. its the intimacy between rider and bike that can get this done.if it is a wrong feeling then bye bye piston loh....... and anyway the1k is used so ppl wouldn't destroy the bike unnessarily.
TZR SG Run in go more on small roads will help lah, don always go on expressways. Coz small rd alot of traffics and u can keep the gears changing thus seasoning the gears…..
White^7 SG 2 Stroke bike dun actually need to run in so much want. u run in 800km change gear oil then the rmp dun over 8 then 1500km change gear oil then Luuu all the way...................
