my insurance expiery in a month time… i have called up the insurance company to ask about the price for the renewal… 1st party, $12+, second party, $400+, third party, $200++... 1st party is too expensive… i m thinking of changing to third party, really short of cash nw… is anyone using third party insurance? is it advisable for me to change to third party? pls advise… fustrasted nw, the insurance is so expensive…

first of all, wat bike u riding? then next new or old bike?
if u r having a sports bike then i tiink 2nd party enough liao
as for mine old bike, take third coz cheap, but only when ur bike catches fire then can claim i think...

mine is kips bike… ft plate, 11 months old… i am getting worried, i having shortage of cash, then i hv to renew the insurance in a month time… do u think i should change to third party? is there anyone who just ride on the road without insurance, day by day just pass… thank for any advice given…

WRONG!!!!......3rd party means that if u bang into pple, or if u are deem to be at fault in causing an accident, the other party can claim against you.

2nd party = 3rd party plus fire and theft, means that is ganna burned as arson or stolen the insuarnce company will compensate u abt 70% of market value

1st party lagi best...if u bang into tree, insurance company will pay all your repair except for a minimum sum called "excess" abt $500-$1500 depending on company

Riding with insurance is an offence. If u dont buy at least 3rd party, how r u going to pay if u really bang into someone? If u knock into a car or hit a person can u afford to pay his medical bills?

Therefore, normally old bike will go for just 3rd party. Since ur bike old liao, if u really kena the cost will normal be just slightly more that the minimum sum u need to pay for the insurance mah. More worth it this way. Cool

2nd party will cover for fire(arson) and theft of bike( whole bike; parts not included), and the other party if it is deem by traffic police that you are at fault in the accident

If you buang a car, and it's proven that it's the other party's fault then u claim from the other party's insurance loh

heard new bikes 1st 3 years MUST buy 1st party coz still new… i dono if its true lah… but u can ask ask ur insurance company, If can get a 2nd party. Fire and theft enough for the moment liao..

ABSOLUTELY NOT TRUE!!!!

My motordiam tried to con me saying that under hire-purchasing , the bike HAS to be covered by 1st party insurance...

"FINE....show me which clause in the hire-purchase agreement says so!!"

The owner LL, cannot show me. In fact, I've check the argreement and it just simply state that the rider has to have "valid insurance", which means that we can even choose 3rd party insurance for a new bike if we want to...........

So pple, pls don't get bullshit by those motordiam........they just want to earn more money that's all
