Tyre pressure and battery for Phandom200

hi all phandom rider...
I m just wondering what is the standard air pressure for Phandom bike tyre?
Anyone know about this?

One more question, battery is rechargeable or we hav to replace new battery if it's flat? How to check wheater the battery is flat liao? Activate the hon and hear the buzzer sound?

by right should be 200 for front n back
but i pump 210 front n 240 back
phantom200 is 10kg heavier than phantom150 so i tink pump 200 front n 220 back for best results!!!

some petrol stations' pumps gauge buay zun, so must press press see whether hard enuff to ur liking...

If I am not mistaken, I believe that Phantom uses dry cell battery. It has better charge/voltage regulation during its lifespan but you cannot recharge it.

Which means that you need to replace it when it runs out of charge. Similar to those off the shelfs batteries.

actually hor, phantom200 electric starter mah, if battery flat, obviously bike cannot start liao lor, whereas for kickstart right, only no horn, light, signal light lor but still can start. And the battery always recharge when our bike moves, this is done by the rectifier (anybody pls say if I'm wrong). if let say battery flat hor, the motor diam got ways to recharge it one. saw them connect it to something to try to recharge before lor.

Go and buy a gauge to measure tyre pressure it is quite accurate can buy those pen type guage costs onli abt 4-5 bucks from petrol stations

1.How often must we pump the tyre eh?? 1yr 2yrs??
2.If we want to buy the type gauge, how does it looks like??
If our type pressure is below recommendated, is it ok?? Any side-effect to the bike performances?? Thanks!!

wah lau eh... pump tires once in every 1-2 yrs u siao ah Smile ... by that time, bike sold off liao stil dunno when to pump eh..
anyway, the pumping period depends on how n where u ride... if the rds r smooth n no bumps here n there, maybe u can pump it once a month...but sometimes its good to check the pressure once in every 2 weeks...
tires too hard: better acceleration, poor grip on wet rds
tires too soft: poor acceleration, better grip but faster in wearing off...

for me, a tire gauge is not neccessary lar... jus press it with ur thumb see hard enuff can liao...

jus got a tire gauge today...
but it measure in kg n lbs
seems different from the one at petrol station.. can anyone teach me how to convert?

But how do you really put the air inside the type?? Do it as you would do it on a bicycle??? Just curious..I dont want to flatten my tyre on my first try..heheh

1.i pump mine roughly every 2 weeks
2.There are 2 types of gauges one is shaped like a pen then other wan has a round face.
3.it will affect ur tyre wear causing uneven wear affect ur stability at high and low speeds and also cause ur bike to steer very heavily.

me not sure whether all petrol stations' pump r the same... i go to a Caltex Station near my house... its a digital one...
200 front n 200 back is recommended for phantoms.. but i pump 210 n 240 respectively.. so u jus press 210 n then insert the head into the hole on the tire cap.. make sure u fit it in...the pump wil automatically pump air up to the pressure u indicated (210)...

dun press the pressure too high!! if u wanna try more, increase 10 by 10... dun one shot increase 100!
or else get ready a ear plug!!

i know esso stations oso digital air pumps, same method as whitephantom said above. one more point to note is if your tyre flat liao must press some button on the pump else it wont pump at all.
shell air pumps located at the petrol pumps themselves. at the side, turn the dial and the arrow on the pump will move. keep turning to desired level and then insert. you will hear a 'ping....ping....ping....' as air is being pumped. when the pinging stops that means already pumped.
