paikuaboi SG hmm change spocket pickup faster but got affect long distance speed a not? the disk smaller _
paikuakia^^ SG not need change lah normal ride the shirt fly out liao can see ur skiiny bone figure.if u change wait the shirt fly out jia let lah =x
Rep150 SG If you change your spocket to a bigger size your pickup will be faster. It’s useful in singapore road as there’s not much long distance straight road you can find in singapore. So it’s helps you when you cornering as when you come out from a corner, you will be faster provided you know how to play lah. But I heard that it will cause more fuel consumption.
tOngEh SG changing ur sprocket will not affect ur fuel consumption.the way u corner out depends on ur air jet mostly.if u have a gd combination of air jet and sporcket ur will get a fantastic pickup! for a very gd pickup use 49 at the back 15 front. for me i try that b4 but my top better dun say......but the pickup is fast meaning u must hold ur handle bar tight!!!rev up to 10k per gear! now im using 47 rear and 16 front!!! ------------------ tOngEh A good rider is one who can live long enough to ride another day.
tOngEh SG all those i have say is base only on tzm for best performance and the chain must be 428 ------------------ tOngEh A good rider is one who can live long enough to ride another day.
ZecHs SG 4 tzrr front 18 rear 45 can liaoz... but my one now is 49... haiz~ ------------------ the sanity & insanity dat i was given & are mine only..... both exist together without negating each other.....
ShunLi SG how about sp? anybody? kekeke the front sprocket got those shiny shiny ones like the back sprocket one like tat anot??
ZecHs SG ?? tzrr one u wan?? front and back FULL CHROME one if u wan to chrome ur sp also can ------------------ the sanity & insanity dat i was given & are mine only..... both exist together without negating each other.....
tzm^21_shoei SG hi i am actually using front 17 and back 49. one up on the front is abt 2.5 smaller from the back from wad i know...estimate one. wad u mean 428??u mean the rk chain har?? if u always go up to 10rpm for every gear i think siong for ur bike.:> cheers johnson
feng125 SG ok lets spell it together boys and girls... S-P-R-O-C-K-E-T ok serious stuff now. i assume u are refering to the REAR sprocket here. if u change to bigger rear sprcket, every one full revolution of yuor chain would produce less number of turns onto your rear wheel, meaning u would get lesser speed with the same RPM at the same gear as compared to a smaller sprocket, but it would be easier to accelerate bcos less power is needed to propel your bike forwards. bigger rear sprocket = faster acceleration but lesser top speed.

tOngEh SG I think sp and tzm similar lah!!try lor but have to chain the whole set ------------------ tOngEh A good rider is one who can live long enough to ride another day.
WhitePhantom SG hey guys i riding phantom150 actually i intend to change my sprocket to a bigger one to increase pickup cos i seldom go at high speed, usually about max 90-120 at expressways only.. but sumtimes 130-160 lar.. so jus wanna know whether better pick up at midrange wil consume more petrol? i do know that if ur top speed is reduced, n u try to zua alot at high speed, ur petrol wil consume alot...need more power mah... any tips n suggestions? ------------------ WARNING: "Privileged/Confidential information may be contained in this message. tOngEh SG it will not cause higher fuel consumption!becos it is an external device! 1 last thing ur carb is not touched so dun be afriad!!even it consume how much more can u save? ------------------ tOngEh A good rider is one who can live long enough to ride another day.
feng125 SG it will not directly affect your fuel consumption but u will realise u seem to be getting less km's with your full tank on a bigger sprocket. reason is dat u will tend to be travelling at a higher RPM while cruising compared to small sprocket. for eg: small sprocket at 100km/h 6th gear RPM is 6000 big sprocket at 100km/h 6th gear RPM is 7000. higher RPM = more revolutions on the engine components which take in the same amount of fuel whether small or big sprocket. therefore in the above example...theoretically speaking... u would only travel 6/7 of the normal full tank distance den empty liao.
operator SG Try not to increase the size of ur back sprocket too drastically. U will put more stress on the engine when u apply engine break and this is not good.
tzm^21_shoei SG hey ur 16/47 front/back is for mid range rite?wads is ur man jet size??izzit 220?? DID chain tzm hard to find coz tzm use o-ring and DID chain 0-ring stop production liao.most poeple using rk i ting.wad u using? cheers thanks johnson
