hmmmmm, forgive me ignorance

but can ya explain more on piston jams?? cos my frens aprilia's just kena jam and say muz change the engine block....

how to prevent it from jamming?

ah_tee SG

piston jam is actually coz by wear n tear or could be jus running too lean where the pistons dun get enuff 2t, or could also be 2t finish liao ur friend dun care..

tats y pple say dun always loot ur bike, dragging coz ur pistons to wear out faster

if ur lucky then piston jam

that time when i piston jam, my con rod also gone, timing gear also gone, everything add up to 800 plus...can die..

RAIDER SG

ah_tee SG

4 stroke will jam also but not so easy, coz 2 stroke fire every revolution and 4 stroke fire every other revolution, tat makes the waer n tear slower

for more info u can check out 2stroke bikes vs 4 stroke bikes

ah dom posted quite abit of interesting diagrams and it is easier to understand

RAIDER SG

hmpppP aprila is a nice bike but haixx i scare of de maintence thing ,wait go ns siao liao

ah_tee SG

ask him wad he overhaul, overhaul would opening up the engine n replacing the internals,

overhaul can mean anything frm changing jus a gear to rebuilding the engine

ask him in detail wad he change
the effort u make know wad save u lots of cash if u decide to take over the bike

he can claim for all he want, but the fact is always ask for the receipt to wad he has done

and also, its a bery bery gd tip for newbies getting bike,,
neber ever appear to be a newbie...

clockwise SG

hahaa..
i appear to be a newbie when i bought over from dom last time, but he's a good man so no regrets buying the buy..everything's good.

ah_tee SG

ya la, the best thing is buy frm own pple la
fix ur valve yet?
