Reading boss Steve Coppell admits he could be for the high-jump
should the club ever be taken over.
Reading chairman John Madejski has had the club up for sale ever
since Coppell's side clinched promotion to the Premiership in May -
so far with no takers.
Meanwhile, they've got off to a storming start with 10 points from
six games before today's trip to Upton Park.
But Coppell knows from bitter experience that's no guarantee of
anything.
He said: "I've never spoken to the chairman about it, but if a
takeover happened I'm sure I'd find out in due course - just like I
did when I was at Crystal Palace.
"Ron Noades told me he'd sold the club to Mark Goldberg - and he
came and told me he had got Terry Venables in as the manager. That
was it!"
