Transcendence SG Hi all... need advise... Just how much air do i need to pump for the front and rear tyres of my Phantom? Wish I could translate my #$%#^# manual. Your help would be greatly appreciated... ------------------ Transcendence Rule #1 - Minimal Risk
Imaginary SG Front 200, rear 200 (for phantom 150) It's printed near your chain at the chain guard I think.. go take a look.
Transcendence SG Thanks... saw the 200... jus couldn't figure out the numbers together wif the thai words... thanks all the same ------------------ Transcendence Rule #1 - Minimal Risk
Imaginary SG Just go to the air pump at the petrol kiosk, set to the desired level and pump. If it's too low, the pump will have a "ting ting ting" sound (not sure about the new digital ones; I think it's a beep or something) until the pressure has been raised to the preset level. Alternatively, you could buy a pressure gauge which I don't really think is necessary.
owm SG I have heard that these new digital pumps are not that accurate so the more particular bikers will purchase a pressure gauge to compensate for the inaccuracy in these pumps. Also, experienced bikers will say that it is better to pump air when the tires are cool. But if you are like me and are not so discerning, just use this free service I normally will check the pressure once every month. Some check it once every week.
mitolover SG wah i still duno must pump tire leh.hehee... maybe i stupid...then my sp need anot huh? how long u all check ur air pressure level? once a month?
lanxx SG once a moth is ok, just press the tyre, if feel soft, must pump. tyre with more air, less friction, so can accelarate faster but when comes to rainy day, more dangerous, also when banking also less grip.
Imaginary SG If pressure is too low, you'll feel that the bike is not as powerful as before. However, the tires will have a better grip on the road. The trade-off though, is that it will also wear off faster. Check? Only when I happen to think about it.. now, hmm... that reminds me....
