Terry: Chelsea can end Liverpool
title hopes

Chelsea skipper John Terry says they can end Liverpool's
Premiership hopes by thumping them on Sunday.
Jose Mourinho's Blues would open up an eight-point gap over Rafa
Benitez's Reds by winning at Stamford Bridge.
And if Manchester United overcome Arsenal on the same day, England
skipper Terry reckons Liverpool and the struggling Gunners may
never recover.
Liverpool were widely viewed as Chelsea's chief rivals in
pre-season and impressed by defeating the Blues in last month's
Community Shield.
But they are reeling from last Saturday's 3-0 derby drubbing by
Everton and already lag eight points behind leaders United.
Defender Terry, 25, said: "I can see why people might be saying the
title race is down to us and United if we can both win on
Sunday.
"Two years ago, we beat United at home in our first game. It set
the tone for the whole season early on.
"If you can win a big one early, it can be a massive
statement.
"We know the other teams will be watching to see if we can go out
there and play well against Liverpool and win.
"If we do, the likes of United and the rest will have to stand up
and pay attention to us and what we're about.
"United are playing well at the minute but they've got to keep
winning.
"We're aware Liverpool got a bit of a thumping in their derby,
which was a massive game for them.
"So I'm sure their players and fans will be very upset after
Everton.
"They will all be travelling down here to come and win. It's vital
that we go out and pick up another three points.
"I know it's so early on in the season but it is important we keep
on doing that - especially at home, which has been a fortress for
the last three seasons. We're going into the Liverpool game with a
lot of confidence."
