Common causes of accidents

Just to tok a little on accidents.
most pple either get scratch or killed bcos of buanging and banging into another vehicle.
But i think equally dangerous are the no who lose life and limbs -
falling off the bike and getting run over.
I saw a very young NSF 18 yrs old , ready to get married in a mths time with gf, NS regular actually.

He said came out of camp , turned out and taxi in front suddently stopped.... He swerve to avoid , fell and guess what?
His leg was run over by a cement mixer.

So i interviewed him after the amputation. HE was Really angry and depressed.... don't know what to say to me. TOld me just upgraded his licence from 2b to 2a and changed a bigger CC bike.

He Doesn't really blame the accident to motorbiking... but things do happen. Sad = (

Accidents are unpredictable and not limited to biking alone (though I would say % is higher). e.g. a little girl was killed when a potted plant dropped on her head, 2 little girls crossing pedestrian crossing were knocked down by the bus (and it was green man at that time).... etc.

Just be more alert when on the road though it would need lots of concentration.

Common causes would be:
1) Inexperienced
2) Unexpected situations
3) ....

in fact, juz now there was a car there was actually travelling towards me... the fellow seemed to have turned into the wrong lane; i got a shock.. tot that the road change direction liaoz...

The big killer is speeding.

1. Speeding
2. Cornering with high speed or with very low angle
3. Failed to check blind spot when turning/taking over
4. Other people bang on you
5. Engine/brake/chain failure, bike failure.
6. Slipery road (raining, or road which have a lot of little rocks or got oil)
7. Drunk, sleepy, drugs
8. Rider is not capable to ride

i believe that if ure time is up means u have to go lor... no use whether u most safest rider or driver arnd. but tat doesnt mean u can b hell rider and still lives...

Had a friend who was a very safety rider... When pillion other people sure never go beyond 80km/h... but still accident... haiz... sometimes really is fate...

i sit bike sit soooo long...sooo many times aso nothing.....
sit car den buang...

accidents are unexpected..so dun tink too much lor...if u know, it wouldn't happen liao rite?? morale of the story??

Prevention is better than treatment.
If we drive carefully, the % of risks of accident are reduced... not only your live, but somebody else live oso...
Accident only is sad, but accident which take other people's live(s)... it is very very sad...
I would rather died alone than bring other people with me...

I WANNA STRESS THIS PIECE OF MSG! GENERALLY REVIEW OF BIKERS ON THE ROAD, NOT IRC PEOPLE OR FORUM PEOPLE.

actually MANY people actually don have the interest of riding bike, but then see many many people and friends riding, and especially can lompang charbors, they go take licence. And buy SP.

Therefore, i most accident victims, is much becoz they actually have not much passion and interest in learning skills in riding, but to show off and charbors...

depends on ure mentality of riding e bike...
some got racer blood
some got the need to show off altitude
some use bike for transport...like me =)

I totally agree with TZR. ride safely lor , it is not worth it. I know , drive volvo oso dangerous , take bus sometime can die too , aeroplane huh no need to say , but when accidents do happen , motorcyclists have it worse. So with car i drive 120-130 never mind, with bike , my normal reflex is 80-90.

Don't speed and drive defensively

Really impt to look far ahead and keep good following distance
