hmmm... JUST what issit about guys and cars u get a nice car...and u refuse to park it anywhere public for fear it gets scratched....what gives?

suzi.. you have bad experience with guys who has nice cars? haha.. well.. depends on luck actually.. my fren's 1970's car still get stolen.

hmm... same here.. me dun like Jap and American cars... just European.... with exceptions though... eg, Viper, Corvette and the least of which you expected.... Crown Victoria (go Cops!!).

Some guys get cars to pose around and is scared of it getting scratched.. to a certain extend i am one too=p
But i go for luxury cars..due to the comfort and power within the car itself

Well guys, went to C&C and other places to check out other cars but I guess I had my record time at Performance Motors checking out those BMWs. Sigh... Wonder when is the M5 coming. I heard that there are several advance orders being placed already and though I've heard much hype around it for the power, I won't know until I've driven one myself.

Nissan Skyline? It's quite a beauty with power to match. Looking at it certainly makes me drool over the power. As compared to the M5, I wouldn't know much about it already if we were to put a Skyline and an M5 to race at Pasir Gudang. As a supporter of German cars, I would say that M5 would probably beat the Skyline! (No offence, Japanese Car lovers Wink )

Well Suzi, I don't know if you've a bad case of getting your beloved car stolen (think of the money gone! Sad ) but the best solution to prevent a car being stolen is to park it at the open carpark (especially if u're staying lower levels HDB) below yur house, clamp your steering wheel and install an EXTREMELY noisy alarm which the people living across the causeway can hear it. The only complete solution probably is to get a wheel clamp to clamp the wheels too!

I didn't have any experience with stolen cars but rather P-plate Ah Bengs and Lians (especially Lians) trying to race me previously. The trick is not to get ahead of them but HOW to LURE them up the expressway so that you can show em some really neat tricks which will bring em down FLAT! Finish them off in the long run as I would say. Smile

Never thought I'd meet fans of Need For Speed here! I am a big fan too but am now currently playing the 3rd part of NFS as my system is pretty old (a 166MMX). Anybody got any idea if u can run NFS4 on a 166MMX WITHOUT graphics accelerator? Thinking of getting that game (hopefully my car) for my Christmas!

Maybe it is my system.. i tried the game on my other system.. a AMD K6 200. I got trouble running the game(car are SUPER slow)
and the graphic sux.On my K6 3 500 with ATi Xpert128 the clouds and the fog can be seen but on the old system the whole screen whiteout with i enable the fog.
And about the car. If you get the M5 OR the Skyline.. you should be able to beat those bengs and lians both on pick up n top speed.

haha....hey jeff007 i think u misunderstood me...was talking bout cars being SCRATCHED...not STOLEN...hehe...well my other half just got a brand new GT-R from his Dad and his paranoia is just getting into me...i mean.....we can't even go to orchard in that car cos he fears that if we leave it at one of the mult-storey carparks...someone will scratch it...duh...
nah....i just dun understand that's alll

solution... tell him to park beside a Merc or BMW or Lexus or just some of those luxury cars where Singapore have no short supply of.

Chances of ppl getting jealous of a luxury car is greater than that of a GT-R. So parking beside one would greatly reduce the probability a GT-R would be scratched.

So how much IS the BMW M5? $400k? And what's the maintenance like? I love the reviews on that car and think it is a very good mix of sports and sedan with prestige. If I could afford it, M5 would be my choice.

The Skyline GTR R-34 is another of my dream cars. Untuned, it is nothing special, yes, and an M5 would prob outrace it. The power of the Skyline is its ability to be tuned to deliver astronimcal bhps. But yah, I guess its kinda unfair to race a tuned R-34 against a standard M5.
The Viper seems quite 'shiok' also, but a roadster is impractical lah... get a 4 seater. Might as well for all that money. Can bring more friends for joyride.

If u really have the cash, M5 my man. Race those ah-beng civics; let them smell smoke. Mercedes? Forget it lah.. Ahbengs have ruined Mercedes like they have ruined D&G and Rolex. I dun find the Merc prestigious.. its become quite 'contractor-beng' if u get my drift. BMWs are also starting to get over-popular. At least with an M5 u stand out.
