redstone SG A stupid guy's been mass randomly msg-ing people asking if they want to work part time. I can recognise that logo anywhere. The notorious MLM company, VE. That's the worst tactic I've ever seen! Anyone received the msg?

Eunos. I see it as modern slavery, giving people false hopes and lots of manipulation of emotions, unethical tactics, etc.

redstone SG I feel they should recruit those interested in sales, not cold calling. I learnt retail before. Cold calling is the least successful method, and the most irritating method. Their arguement is that "it gives ppl a reason to join". But most of the times it's just plain irritating
stbcl SG icic. i mean, cold calling seems like a desperate way to get some tom, dick and harry into a company. it's as though they're really that short of manpower that they hv to call up strangers to join. and they don't even care abt the person's backgrd at all. they shd promote their company in the newspaper of internet and get ppl to send in their resume instead.

redstone SG Another way is cold letters, etc.... All need extremely thick skin. And be prepared to be scolded at. My lecturer told me this, "never fear rejection" if you're ever put into a cold calling job.
