For a true mlm company,

both customers and distributors buy and use the products. And contrary to what a lot of mlm out there says, a true mlm actually does not focus on either one alone..but the only way to build a mlm business is not just from recruiting and sponsoring alone..but to balance between having distributors and customers. Thus the product, although neglected by a lot of companies, is impt too. Only gd companies really focus on the products. The products shld be the main core. Balance between customers and distributors. And you have a true mlm business.

I would think it's the distributors.

Every company strives to use carrots to encourage more orders from distributors. Eg. "Achieve 5000 volume points and get a free cruise with the Chairman!" or "Reach 1000 volume points and get a photo opportunity with Mr XXX (usually some high ranking MLMers in the same company)".

They don't really care who uses the products actually.

Just my opinion.

I think free cruise is cool.

But the photo opportunity thingy is too much liao. I saw before, it's a group photo -- one big big crowd of people taking with one MLM highflyer. Have to "achieve xxxx volume points" to get it. Achieve volume points means you or the downline have to buy more products/stocks lor.

Dunno why ppl buy that. Once I just caught the fella outside the hall where they hold the talk, and snap a single photo with him/her. Like that, can liao lor. Dun need volume points one while others piak to accumulate points ....hehehe.

The products and its sales should be the main core business.

The distributors are also customers themselves because they'd signed up to purchase the goods at distributor prices.

There is a difference between active distributor who does active sales(Salesman) and a passive distributor who waits to be served. (Customers)

Passive distributors are just members who are only customers, and they only introduced a couple of friends to be members to use the products at distributor prices. The one who serves the products to them are the active distributor , usually their Upline.

So the $$$ is made by the salesman providing active service , this way, he can get the accumulated points/commission of sales by customers who choosed to be served. Thus experience in Sales and Service and keeping your customers plays a vital role in MLM.

Do not expect your downlines to stock up so that you can accumulate points, get them to learn the sales and service. Only people who had put in Effort gets the points .

Sitters who wait to be served are customers.

Can be both the distributors and consumers.

It really depends on the company strategies, whether is it product or recruitment focus. For some, it went further to investment focus. I believe that there is no definite answer.

Most pple still havent come across or understood true quality mlm products...The product must have gd quality, price is competitive and value for money then it is worth it Smile

my nephew was being brought down to meet one of the NTI manager on deepavali.

my nephew asked, "who do we sell the product to?"

NTI manager replied, "we dont do sales one. anyway the product not important."

my nephew asked, "if thats the case, isn't it pyramid selling?"

NTI manager replied, "as long we make money, who cares? NTI still surviving until now."
