It is obvious that you have never been to Singapore. Coming from a
chaotic third world city like Shanghai, Singapore would be a great
eye opener for you.
We are a city of rules. We have rules on how to follow rules. Rule
#1 , OBEY ALL RULES. Rule #2 There is no such thing as a stupid
rule.
I see what you are thinkng now. We are a bunch of boring
bureaucrats. FYI we are as exciting as the next American drunk. In
fact, you should have seen us on our "Be spontaneous" day. Those
who studied their BE SPONTANEOUS rules book well won all the top
prizes.
